LSU TAKES GAME 1 OF CWS IN 3-HIT SHUTOUT ⚾️ 🏆️ 🌽 🐯
A true pitcher’s dual. The only run can in the bottom of the 1st inning. Coastal Carolina’s Cameron Flukey struck out 10 LSU batters over 7 innings pitched. Amazing. Though, it was not enough as Kade Anderson fanned 10 of his own in a complete game shutout victory for the Geaux Tigers.
LSU takes a 1-0 lead in the College World Series Finals. Coastal was only able to manage three hits the entire game. A single by Sebastian Alexander in the 4th; A double by Blagden Pado in the 5th and another single by Dean Mihos in the 7th.
Coastal did have baserunners as 5 Chanticleers reached 1st on walks while Cade Bodine was plunked twice. Unfortunately no runners ever passed 2nd base safely.
Dom Carbone came in for 2 innings of relief work, not allowing LSU to score.

PHIL STEELE EXPECTS FLORIDA STATE TO BE MOST IMPROVED TEAM IN 2025 🏈
Phil Steele is commonly recognized as the most accurate forecaster in college football. So what he says, has value. And even though no one has ever shot 100% accuracy, ever, Steele has creditability to his projections.
Florida State is coming off a 2-10 season. So in some ways this isn’t but so bold of a prediction that a normal powerhouse returns back to their winning ways. In the offseason the Noles added Gus Malzahn as their Offensive Coordinator and Tony White as their Defensive Coordinator. Additionally, from the portal they welcomed Boston College RPO specialist QB - Thomas Castellanos. Throw in Squirrel White from Tennessee at WR and Duce Robinson from UCF and the return of DT Darrell Jackson, Florida State is in position to prove Phil Steele correct.

Florida State Seminoles
Utah Utes
Oklahoma Sooners
Oregon State Beavers

COMMANDERS NEW LOOK O-LINE 🏈 🪖
Everyone knows the Commanders upset the Detroit Lions and made it to the NFC Championship game last season. But what most quickly forget is that Washington finished 25th in the league in Sacks Allowed.
HC Dan Quinn, GM Adam Peters and staff took that to note in the off-season. Welcome Larry Tunsil, traded from Houston, an All Pro. Now responsible for Jayden Daniel’s blindside.
Then in the draft they went and got Josh Conerly in the first round from Oregon. He will be their new Right Tackle.
Negative Nellys everywhere remember two of the most viral videos only of the said two - Tunsil’s draft day mask his dad of all people leaked out. And Conerly’s first ever time at RT during the Reece’s Senior Bowl practice when he was knocked to the ground. Most forget, he was named Best Lineman during that same event. (Thanks Pete Dennis for that tid-bit!)
Moving over to Right Guard is Brandon Coleman. He was at RT last season.
Sam Cosmi is an All Pro Guard. Yes, he is still recovering from his ACL surgery. Assuming all goes well, Cosmi could resume duties in September.
And solidifying the O-Line is Center Tyler Biadasz, who played a quiet and key role in Daniels ascension his rookie season.
SHARING IS CARING!
LIAM COHN vs BAKER MAYFIELD 🏈🐆 🏴☠️
Who knew the Jacksonville Jaguar / Tampa Bay Buccaneers storyline would take this big of an argument. Who made who? Did new Jaguars HC Liam Cohn make Baker Mayfield? Or, did former Heisman Trophy QB make his Offensive Coordinator?
